The weekly feature

As everybody who visits this page somewhat regularly probably knows, I'm a huge sucker for well-done traditional art. And in this context, I quite recently stumbled upon an artist whose gallery put the biggest smile on my face.
:iconjessicasansiquet:

This french artist, armed to the teeth with all media imaginable, makes the most beautiful animal paintings I've seen in a long time. They are so full of movement, so dynamic and so colorful! The textures and colors of her work all resonate harmoniously with one another.

Not all things on DeviantART are suitable for practical use, but I can honestly say that these paintings are of the kind I'd hang on a livingroom wall. I can not express my joy in seeing these enough =D To be fair, I should just stop talking so you can go on and check her out.

Updated commission journal

Journal

It's high time my commission info was updated in a journal. There have been some price changes and even though all the official information is on my page if you scroll down a bit, I've never actually dedicated a journal to them that I can easily link to. Commissions are still closed, because I have a few projects that need to be finished first, but I might open a few slots soon.

No problem! I love the way you paint with very rough, blocked in colors, primarily because it's something I haven't quite gotten the hang of yet.

And thank you very much! It's true that digital art seems to gain the public favor at times, but traditional art will always be special to me =)

Hey, me too! Even though ink and pencil hold special places in my heart, watercolors take up quite a bit of my time too. Lots of <3's for watercolors from me as well!

I can see the lots of <3's in your work. I never really got the hand of watercolours so I always appreciate others who have and have a great talent for it.
Now I do something similar if you want to give it a shot? I do a type of watercolour where I take pastels draw the design then take a clean brush and water and blend it together or thin it out.
It's like watercolour pencils but the colour are more vivid and bright.

I have tried watercolor pencils and watercolor crayons and they just didn't cut it for me. I missed the smooth flow of the brush, the subtle variety in line width it can make. Thank you for the suggestion though =)

So glad to have come across your art this morning, you have a beautiful style! I love your creatures in either your black and white or your color work-- it has an 'old world' feel to it that I very much admire!
